Yes there is real fluid (rheoscopic fluid, which consist of high-performance, aerospace fluid and colored particles) in the watch. It is not a display or any digital animation. It's all analog.
-
It all depends on the position (angle) of the watch on your wrist. The more the watch is tilted perpendicular to the ground, the faster the colour particles will fall. The faster they fall the faster the dial will be revealed and you will see how many hours there are. In an ideal situation, it's about 15 to 20 seconds.

Yes in this version of the watch (AC1) there will only be a black dial with white hands. This is for contrast - the white colour of the hands is best seen on the black background colour of the dial. We are planning other dial colours (and materials) in the future. For now, however, you can choose from a variety of fluid colors to personalize your AC1 watch.

There is no battery in the watch. The watch is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement (namely a high quality Swiss Sellita movement). In a nutshell, the way it works is that when you use the watch (wear it and move it around), it will automatically charge.
*How to set up and care for the watch can be found in the manual included in the package.
